About Me

I started working as an aerobic instructor in 1987, complete with leg warmers, thong leotards and a pink head band! I was certified through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) in 1988 and have been an ongoing member of the IDEA Health and Fitness Association since 1988. Over the years I have continued my education and broadened my health and fitness experience, allowing me to create individual, unique and personal programs for you.

I received my personal training certification in the early 1990s. Adding my Cancer Exercise Specialist certification in 2004 assists me in helping this special group manage their strength and health.

Some of my achievements and awards include:

  • "Best of Whidbey Island" aerobic instructor award in 2000.
  • Managed Momentum Health Club and Whidbey Fitness gym during their tenure.
  • Helped create the "Commit to get Fit" program for 2nd graders at South Whidbey Primary school in the mid 1990s.
  • Coordinator for the dynamic Silver Sneaker program from Group Health Cooperative which worked with special populations.
  • Teaching senior aerobic classes and online Physical education for Skagit Valley College starting in 1990 and continuing to this day.

In 2005 I started One to One Personal Training. I love the personal connection I get when working in the home environment. When you bring me into your environment it helps me understand your needs and inspires me to find the best avenue to optimize your results.
